Do you ever get overwhelmed by anger or rage and find it very hard to control yourself? Do you feel overwhelmed by how strong the emotion is? Does it feel as if your brain has been hijacked by the anger, preventing you from thinking clearly?
Do you regret behaving aggressively? Do you regret yelling, throwing things, hitting, doing things you wish you could take back but you cannot because the damage has already been done?
If there have been negative consequences from your explosive anger, such as arguments with a person close to you, violence, road rage, getting annoyed at people and letting them know about it, you have anger management issues and this program is for you.
Controlling anger is especially hard immediately after your anger is triggered and you become overwhelmed. We would like to share our knowledge to help you to understand the issue of unhelpful impulsivity and how it hinders your anger management. You will learn to modify your unhelpful impulsivity and to understand, manage and express your anger in a healthy way – a way that is not damaging to you and your relationships.
Remember, all emotions are human. Anger is simply an emotion. The way we express it can help us to connect with people and help people to understand us better; or it can make them feel threatened and unsafe in your presence. So, learn to be in control of the expression of your emotions, including anger, at all times. Choose to have a great relationship with others and to feel proud and strong.
