Supporting all Australians – presenting at the 2018 Australian Rural and Remote Mental Health Symposium.

In Temptation by Yuliya Richard

One of the reasons we created our course is to help Australian people in remote and rural areas.

Oftentimes, people in smaller towns are less able to find a psychologist whom they can see on a regular basis. According to the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare (2017), 69% of people in rural communities are obese or overweight, and 23% of people exceed the healthy guidelines for alcohol consumption, while suicide rates are 1.7% higher in remote areas as compared to metropolitan areas. One of the main factors preventing people in rural and remote Australia from making healthier lifestyle choices is access to affordable health care.

One of our missions is to deliver an affordable program to help people to address overeating, binge drinking, explosive anger, procrastination, and impulsive overspending by providing our programs online. As long as you have an internet connection, you can learn how to get rid of your unhealthy behaviours once and for all.

This year, we are fortunate to introduce our online courses at the 2018 Australian Rural and Remote Mental Health Symposium in Hobart. We are looking forward to this great opportunity to introduce our programs and to meet with like-minded professionals who care about the mental health of Australians in rural and remote locations.
